A fellow BioMat distributor recently went to an Expo in Las Vegas and she met a long-time BioMat distributor who shared more on the history of the BioMat … a special thank you to Michael’s historical perspective on the BioMat!

Hippocrates had giant caverns filled with amethyst crystals and this ancient Greek physician geo-thermally heat-charged those crystals with the correct frequencies producing far infrared radiation (FIR). People with all kinds of ailments came into these caverns and Hippocrates helped them heal.

When space exploration began in the 20^th century, astronauts learned they had trouble controlling their muscles because of zero gravity. Two scientists combined far infrared and four pounds of amethyst in astronauts’ space suits to overcome the atrophy issues and allow the blood to flow correctly. This is how bio-mats first came into existence. Then, in the early 1990s, researchers found that far infrared radiation (FIR) with the use of amethyst crystals was beneficial for home use; an application for medical approval of the professional-size BioMat was applied for and granted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Now, we have research that shows when FIR is put into correct heating frequencies/temperatures, it removes toxins and free radicals from the bonding within the body’s fluid (water). These toxins are naturally released into urine and bile.

Further, scientists have determined that our blood is charged with positive ions. To counteract these positive ions, the BioMat produces negative ions. When the BioMat’s negative ions “hit” the blood’s positive ions, it releases the toxins and free radicals that are trapped in the positive ionic state. This allows the blood to flow correctly throughout the body, removing the toxins that are trapped within the blood supply.

Finally, the BioMat takes alternating current voltage (AC) and converts it to direct current (DC) and this frequency goes through the BioMat’s wires. These wires first touch the amethyst crystals via piezoelectricity. Each heat setting has healthy beneficial attributes for the human body.

Please note:  with the use of piezoelectricity, the BioMat does not use the voltage-carrying wires that create electro-magnetic frequencies (EMFs) that are harmful to the body.
