This week’s blog post is more information on heat settings for the BioMat. This week, we will specifically address BioMat sessions using the highest temperature settings.

Temperatures 131° – 140°:

These temperatures are deep, penetrating warmth and suggested times for BioMat usage are 30 to 90 minutes. BioMat sessions using these temperature ranges can be helpful with pain relief, joint pain reduction, stress/anxiety/trauma relief, profound mood elevation, deep relaxation and moving into higher consciousness.

Temperatures 149° – 158°:

The highest temperature settings on the BioMat controller are specifically for deep heat and maximum therapeutics. We recommend these power sessions be no longer than an hour. (Thirty minutes may be long enough; it is important for you to listen to your body and not over-do bio-mat sessions on these highest temperatures.) Some of the health benefits of a deep heat/maximum therapeutics session include intense detoxification, a sauna-like cleansing, natural skin toning, enhanced metabolic aid, blood purification and improving blood circulation.

Please note:  We have stated this numerous other times on this website, but we want to emphasize – again – to not over-do BioMat usage, especially in the beginning.

In other words, use the professional-size BioMat for 20-30 minutes on the first day at low to medium heat (30-40 minutes for the Mini BioMat). You may wish to do this twice per day and if so, space out the uses by at least 10 hours. Build in 5-10 minute increments for each day thereafter. This is a nurturing way for your body to assimilate to the BioMat. (The Richway BioMat is a powerful healing tool and the amethyst can be helpful with detoxification. Using it too long and too hot in the beginning may cause you to detox too quickly. This could make you feel achey, nauseous or dizzy. You can avoid this by taking it slow at first.)
